The IMC D70 D-types contain hydrocarbons in a boiling range from 100 - 330°C. The solving power is lower than that of the aromatic hydrocarbon solvents.
However, due to hydrogenation of the aromatic hydrocarbons to cycloaliphates (= naphthene) a much higher solving power was reached in comparison to products obtained from extraction processes.
The IMC D-types have a mild odor.
